Aberdeen’s nuanced neutrals and aged patina pairs beautifully with tactile fabrics in natural palettes of grey and earth tones, and multiple shades of wood.

The light grey-brown tones characteristic of an Aberdeen floor are achieved through a combination of natural fuming and specialized finishing techniques. Boards chosen for Aberdeen are carefully selected to highlight mostly clear planks with occasional natural characteristics such as sound knots.

​CRAFT’s artisans individually handcraft each plank through refined techniques. To achieve Aberdeen’s colour they use a unique treatment process involving multiple fuming steps. All colour treatment is done by hand to ensure that the wood will exhibit the kind of lustre that only traditional methods can achieve.
